Nikiphoros Theotokis, Archbishop of Cherson (1731-1800)

He was born in Corfu in 1731. A disciple of Evgenios Voulgaris and his successor to the episcopal See of Cherson, Nikiphoros Theotokis, he is regarded as a brother of Vatopaidi Monastery and is include in the list for commemoration in the cemetery. He made many material offerings to the Monastery, especially of printed books for the library, which he sent from Russia. He reposed in Russia in 1800. His great bishop’s stole is kept at the Monastery.
