The proximity of the Monastery of Karakallou with the Monastery of Amalfinon (which no longer exists) and the Holy Monastery of Great Lavra, led to many land disputes, the solution of which gradually led to the delineation of borders in effect today. Needless to say, supporters of the Monastery were not idle over the centuries, and they offered dependencies, as well as other valuable items.
